November 14, 2011 CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State wrestling head coach Jim Zalesky announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Monday. They will join the team for the 2012-13 season. The four student-athletes come from four states. They include: Joey Delgado (Hermiston, Ore.), Joey Palmer (Covington, Wash.), Patrick Downey (Baltimore, Md.) and Jack Hathaway (Iowa City, Iowa). Former 3x NCAA Champion for South Dakota State, Chad Lamer has been named the new volunteer assistant coach at Oregon State University.  Lamer was also a member of Team USA for several years and a World University Champion. The Pac 12 hs decided to stay at the current 12 teams for now. There has been rampant speculation that the league would expand, adding Texas, texas Tech. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. This would of course have ramifications for wrestling. The Broncos will host NCAA title-contender Oklahoma State in their home opener Dec. 30 — one of four home duals on the schedule. This season, BSU will host North Dakota State, Northern Colorado and Oregon State. Travel highlights include the Cowboy Open at Wyoming and a dual at Oregon State. The Broncos will also host the Pac-12 championships Feb. 26.
