Oregon State University assistant coach Troy Steiner will appear on Takedwon Radio on Saturday, September 19th.  He is scheduled to appear at 9:05 CST/ 7:05 PST. Steiner, beginning his 4th year at OSU, is expected to address the upcoming season for the Beavers, as well as off-season changes in the program.  Troy can be heard at www.takedownradio.com. 

Arizona high school star Ryak Finch has decided to make Iowa State home for his college wrestling career.  Finch was the #23 ranked overall recruit in the country by intermat.  He is a 2x NHSCA Champion, and doubled at Junior Nationals in Fargo this past summer. He projects as a 125 lb. wrestler for Coach Jackson and his staff. 

Participation Numbers at the High School Level Increase in 2008-09 For the fifth straight year, participation in wrestling among high school boys has increased according to  the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) 2008-09 participation numbers. 9/17/2009 Clackamas Community College Sports Information   Clackamas Wrestling has recently added University of Minnesota transfer Ryland Geiger to this year's squad. Geiger is a former two-time Oregon state champ and was the Senior Nationals champion at 189 in 2008. Cal State Fullerton to host the NWCA All Star Classic-November 22nd For the second time in 3 years, the western part of the United States will be hosting the meet. The meet will take place on November 22nd at 2 PM on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.
