Mark Manning grew up in the farm fields of South Dakota where he became a three-time state champion. He then went on to college and won two Div. II National titles at University of Nebraska Omaha. After College he made three U.S. Freestyle teams and traveled the world as a competitor.

As a Head Coach Mark Manning has consistently raised the level of success his teams enjoy. At the University of Northern Iowa Mark Manning brought the team from a 41st place finish to an 11th place finish in just three years. He now coaches the University of Nebraska Huskers, who under his leadership are always vying for a place in the top ten and ultimately a national title.
